
At Kilcully Campsite, there’s no shortage of opportunities for adventure, teamwork, and hands-on learning.
From traditional Scouting skills to local adventures, the site and its surroundings offer something for every group.
Every group organizes its programme according to its own ideas and wishes. On the following pages we would like to give you some tips from the many different possible programme options.
If you need any help during the preparations please feel free to ask the Kilcully Criu. As the popularity of Kilcully continues to grow there is often many groups on site together. Please consider leaving room in your program for communal activities like hikes, wide games, exploration, sporting events, singing contests, campfires etc.
All activities are self-led by visiting groups unless otherwise arranged. Leaders are responsible for ensuring suitable supervision, safety measures, and risk assessments for their programme.
🏕️ On-Site Activities
Available on-site:
- Fixed Orienteering Course – maps available on request.
- Shelter Building / Bivvy Area – ideal for survival and outdoor skills.
- Backwoods Cooking – dedicated open-fire cooking areas.
- Pioneering Wood Store – stocked with spars for towers, bridges, and pioneering projects.
- Service Projects – contribute to site improvement or conservation (arranged in advance).
- Reforestation Area – 2.5-acre environmental project ideal for nature studies.
- Indoor Sports – table tennis, basketball, and indoor football.
- Altar Fires – established fire points for safe and supervised use.
All on-site activities are self-led. Service projects should be arranged in advance with the campsite committee.

Recommended for Scout and Youth Groups:
All off-site activities must be booked directly with the provider. Visiting groups are responsible for their own supervision, transport, and safety. |
