Each kitchen is a compact, functional unit equipped for group catering, providing a dry and hygienic area to support your camp setup.

Flexible, Functional and Weatherproof

These new Campers’ Kitchens make outdoor camping easier in all seasons — giving groups the freedom to cook, store food, and create a comfortable outdoor hub, no matter the weather.

Two Spacious Camping Fields

Our camping areas are spread across two large fields, each with its own dedicated toilet block and easy access to water points.

Both fields are level, well-drained, and suitable for patrol-sized sites or large-scale group events.

There’s ample space for tents, activity zones, and open-air gatherings — with parking and key facilities close by.

Natural Growth & Reforestation

About four years ago, the committee undertook a reforestation project, planting a 2.5-acre section of one field with native trees.
While still maturing, this young woodland will become a valuable resource for outdoor learning, conservation, and nature-based activities in the years ahead.

An established tree-lined area beside the main camping field provides excellent ground for bivvy building and shelter-making, giving campers a true backwoods experience.

Wet-Weather Shelter & Day Shelter

Kilcully offers two covered structures to help groups manage any weather:

  • A large wet-weather hall, open to all visitors, for shared use during poor conditions.
  • A day shelter, perfect for on-site groups needing a dry base or a covered space for cooking, meetings, or activities.

Groups using shared facilities are asked to keep them clean and accessible, with priority given to campers during bad weather.

Fires, Cooking & Safety

Open fires and stoves are permitted but must be supervised at all times.
Groups must follow campsite fire safety rules and leave sites clean, with no trace of fire or waste.
Firewood is available but if a group plan to do a lot of cooking on fire we would suggest bringing your own supply also.

Please source your wood responsibly — cutting live trees is strictly prohibited.
All visiting groups are responsible for their own members, supervision, and first aid arrangements.
